Aura 2018-19

Aura 2018-19
Lodha World School, Palava East, organized the third edition of AURA – an inter school competition on 23rd June 2018. Aura is organised every year to promote cooperation as against competition. Aura aims at looking beyond the game of winning and losing, it is more of a platform that offers opportunities to the students to learn and grow, bring out their hidden talents, build confidence and prepare them to face the challenges that await them as they tread in their future path.

The program was an amalgamation of various events. It included competitions on various art forms, literature, sports and movie making. Students from ICSE schools from different parts of Mumbai participated in the event. While the events like floral tales gave a glimpse into the vivid imagination of the young minds when they depicted a poem by using flowers, twigs and leaves, the miming act gave an insight into the student’s ability to emote without speaking. The facial expressions without the use of a single word conveyed the messages deftly. The quiz competition was exciting as the competition had a nail biting finish. The debate competition saw the Devil’s advocates outwitting the opponents with their best arguments. Students also showed their creativity by making movies of the live coverage of AURA event. The sections on classical and contemporary dances were also immensely appreciated and kept the audiences enthralled. The young band of musicians from different schools put their best foot forward and rendered some foot tapping evergreen rock and roll numbers. The inter school Football matches were a great hit and boys and girls from different schools fought tooth and nail to lift the AURA cup.
Eminent personalities from their respective fields graced the occasion as judges. AURA was a great success as each and every event was meticulously planned, the teachers and student volunteers of Lodha World School made the participating schools feel comfortable. The event ended with Prize Distribution ceremony, Hiranandani Foundation School, Thane, was adjudged the best school. The Principal Ms. Aditi Banerji, congratulated the winners and appreciated the participants for putting up the grand show. It was indeed a vibrant and awe inspiring event.
