Game Jam Titans Competition
Timimg: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Design Championship is a platform for school students who want to showcase their talent in technology. This event is held yearly across India in 7 cities namely – Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore and is organized by Mindbox along with Corel, Unity, Autodesk, Corola Labs etc. This year the competition was held at VidyaNidhi Vrajlal Parekh High School in Juhu on 07/09/17.
GAME JAM TITANS is one of the categories of this competition, It is based on game development. Participants receive the theme seven days prior to the event day, based on which the students need to develop a game relevant to the given theme. Winner from each city will get a chance to showcase their game at NGDC (NASSCOM GAME DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE), in Hyderabad in the month of November.
It was a wonderful opportunity for students of Lodha World School, Palava to participate in and be a part of this prestigious competition.
It was a matter of great pride for our school when the students of Std VII, IX and X participated in the “Design Championship- Game Jam Titan Junior and Senior Category” and won the first prize in the senior category for their stupendous effort, out of 58 teams which were there for the Game designing competition from all over Mumbai and Pune.
All of them – Master Srikaran, Master Anirudh, Ms. Helly and Ms. Juhi worked really hard to master the Unity software and practiced on creating different games before the theme was announced, under the guidance of Ms. Rupika – the Computer teacher. The theme for this year was: Money or Traffic. Our winning team was awarded with a trophy by the jury.

Our students from Std IX also made us proud by attaining the fourth position. The Std IX senior team members were Suryansh, Anshul, Nishant, Gautam and Rishi.
The Design Championship proved to be an excellent platform for our students to showcase their talent. It was a great learning experience.
