International Yoga Day

International Yoga Day
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”
– Bhagavad Gita.
Yoga is not a religion. It is a science, the science of well-being, youthfulness and the science of integrating mind, body and soul. Yoga is the art work of awareness on the canvas of the mind, body and soul. The very heart of Yoga is “abhyasa” or steady practise.
At Lodha World School, Palava, yoga is not just an annual one-time affair but is an integral part of the Health and Physical Education activities of the school. We aim at the holistic development of all our students.
The International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to every soul in the world. This was a great opportunity to imbibe the value of discipline. In an endeavour to participate actively in the International Yoga Day celebrations Lodha World School Palava, organized a Yoga Session for the students. Mrs. Varsha Joshi and Mr. Harshad trained the students to learn the positive impact of meditation and understand the benefits of yoga.
The demonstration aimed at inspiring young minds to incorporate yoga into their daily routine and awaken and explore subtle energies to have a better control over their mind, body and social well-being.
