World Music Day
Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest. It heals the heart and makes it whole. It flows from the heaven to the soul.
At Lodha World School, Palava we believe that the curriculum a school follows must allow for the breadth of the role that music plays within “ordinary” life for everyone. Our Principal – Mrs. Aditi Banerji is a strong proponent of the belief that music education is a vital part of school experience and at Lodha, children are encouraged to understand the role music plays in world culture.
Recognizing the significance of the World Music Day, Lodha World School, Palava organized an Inter House Music Competition on the 21st of June. The competition was adjudged by our school teacher and an eminent Classical Singer Ms. Anuradha and our Principal Mrs. Aditi Banerji.
In the morning, the school was decorated with banners and posters. All the children came to school geared up to face the day and the atmosphere was vibrant with a spirit of celebration and festivity.
The teams were judged for rhythm, group co-ordination and overall presentation. Their delightful and foot tapping songs lifted the spirits of all the teachers and students present in the auditorium and showed us that World Music Day is all about enjoying the magical power of music.
