The trip to Nainital – Jim Corbett National Park – Delhi was planned
for the children of Lodha World School Thane from 3rd March to 8th March 2019, as a week of de-stressing from thepressure of exams, and also to give them a taste of exploring new placesand culture; a world that was away from the hubbub of gadgets and everydayroutine.
On 5th March 2019, the itinerary at Nainital included ropeway ride, visit to ARIES Observatory, visit to Nainilake and Naina Devi temple, treks from the hotel tohigh altitude Zoological Park and exploring local market for shopping.
On 6th March 2019, students visited Jim Corbett National Park which is approx. 90 km from Nainital city. Children stayed at The Banyan Retreat Resort. They enjoyed the safari ride to Jim Corbett National Park on 7th March 2019. On the same day in the afternoon, children travelled to Delhi.
On 8th March 2019, children visited Red Fort and museums setup on the theme of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, India’s Freedom Struggle, Subhash Chandra Bose. On their way back to the hotel they had sightseeing of India Gate and National War Memorial. They were thrilled and excited after their visit at Red Fort – a place where history breathes its magic all over.
On their way back to Mumbai, the journey via airplane was filled with laughter, joy and an experience to cherish. Last but not the least, it was a memorable trip which all the children enjoyed to the fullest.
